Due to the considerable distance between the district of Kozy-Gaje and the village centre, the decision was made before the Second World War to create a second platoon of the Voluntary Fire Brigade with its own building in that part of the village. In 1936, a station for the second platoon was put into use. Originally, it had a manual fire pump on a four-wheel chassis. The gradual modernisation of the equipment made the functioning of the second platoon unnecessary. In the first half of the 1960s, the building was sold to the communal cooperative “Samopomoc Chłopska”. After reconstruction in 1965, the building was converted into a grocery shop which still operates today.
