The Palace
Listed in the Register of Monuments, the Czech Family Palace, which owes its name to the last owners of the manor estate, is one of the oldest buildings in Kozy. It is a neoclassical structure with a semicircular projection in the north and a neo-Gothic chapel in the west which was added later. It was probably built at the turn of the 18th century as a Baroque manor house, but the exact date of its construction is unknown. At the time Kozy was owned by the aristocratic Rusocki family of Brzezie. It is assumed that the spot had been occupied by residential buildings in the late Middle Ages or early modern period. In the 18th century, the village of Kozy was owned by the Jordan family of Zakliczyn. Around 1839, Karol, the last of the Kozy line of the Jordans commissioned a thorough reconstruction of the manor house, which received a new staircase and ballroom, and a new interior design, while the surrounding garden was re-landscaped in an English style. Following the death of the owner, who had fallen into debt as a result of the comprehensive makeover, the property was sold at auction to Karol Humborg of Biała who added an Evangelical chapel on the western side in around 1859.  The palace belonged to the family of Czecz de Lindenwald from 1880 until World War II. After the war, the property was nationalized and the palace converted into a health centre. In 2013 a complex renovation was completed thanks to EU funds. Currently, the palace is used by local cultural institutions.
