The Municipal Office – former beer bottling plant and vodka warehouse
The present-day Municipal Office was established by the end of the 18th century as a one-storey utility house belonging to the nearby “Pod Koniem” inn. The building served as a warehouse and a wheelwright’s workshop. In the second half of the 19th century, it was converted into a beer bottling plant and a vodka warehouse. Before the Second World War, the house was purchased by Leopold Schubert, who opened a bakery there. During the Nazi occupation, the building was extended by one floor. After the war, it also housed a post office, council flats and the Municipal Office, which is still located here.
