The Railway Station Kozy Zagroda
After the Second World War it was decided to establish a railway station in the part of Kozy situated about 3 km east of the village centre. Thanks to the generous donations and voluntary work provided by local inhabitants the construction of the station began in the late 1940s. The construction progressed very fast, and building materials were brought by freight trains late at night so that no passenger train connections were blocked due to the unloading. The construction was completed in February 1949. The station was given the name KOZY-ZAGRODA although it had never been used previously for that part of the village. Nevertheless, the name ZAGRODA (homestead) gradually caught on. The station was demolished in 2016.
